Description

Mixed media

20" x 20" x 1.5"

Karole Nicholson attended RISD, studying graphic and advertising design. Acrylic, mixed media and collage are her mediums of choice, engaging a deeply personal approach to expressing her spirit on canvas. Texture, a determined palette and abstract views are the components that draw her into developing each painting. Gallery representation includes the AAM, the Next Door Gallery, Gallery Twist, North River Arts and the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative.

Vivid and expressive, "Melting Into Spring" captures the essence of seasonal transformation with a vibrant palette of yellow, coral, teal, and soft blue. Layered paint, gestural lines, and translucent washes evoke movement and rebirth, suggesting the thaw and bloom of early spring. The composition flows with spontaneity while maintaining an underlying structure that guides the viewer's gaze. This piece is a celebration of color, light, and renewal.
