Sarah Alexander is a self-taught studio artist with a rich heritage of artistic lineage. She currently works as the Gallery Director at HCA in Hopkinton, MA. Sarah works in many materials from pen and ink botanical drawings and watercolor, to sculpting with steel. Recent exhibits and awards include Sculpture Now at The Mount in Lenox MA, Art on the Trails in Southborough MA, and invitational and juried exhibits at the AAM. Sarah is an Artists Member at Fountain Street Gallery. 


This piece was inspired by "Harold and the Purple Crayon" by Crockett Johnson and a recurring dream about waves. Flat abstract waves (or are they mountains?) develop into more dimensional waves as if in a dream. It was created with watercolor on fiber paste on a wood panel.

Special Instructions

A note on bidding: Any high bid that does not follow the listed bidding increments will be nullified and voided.


 The Bidding Increments are as follows:


    $1-99, the bidding increment is $5 


   $100-199, the bidding increment is $10


   $200-499, the bidding increment is $20 


   $500-999, the bidding increment is $50 


   $1000 and up, the bidding increment is $100


Items can be picked up at the Attleboro Arts Museum from November 6th – 8th, 2025. The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm. In-person pickup is preferred. If an item is to be shipped, the winning bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements and handling costs. After arrangements have been made, items will be shipped no later than November 14th. Winners of specialty items that do not require pickup will be contacted with details by November 7th. The artist retains all reproduction and copyrights.
