Cathy Buckley of the "Cat's Meow" Etsy e-shop creates upcycled art jewelry using a variety of mixed metals, found pieces and decorative stones. Cathy a.k.a. Cat is always researching, learning and pushing herself creatively to make really great pieces of wearable, funky and conversation worthy jewelry.
This upcycled piece of jewelry is inspired by the Phantom of the Opera. A solid copper cuff has been adorned with a dark brown mask sanded back to reveal the copper highlights underneath. One side has a silver plate spray of flowers with Swarovski crystals, and the other side has a Russian gold plated leaf and a small sprig of leaves. All the components have been securely cold connected (riveted) to the copper cuff base. The bracelet has been sealed with a museum quality micro-crystalline wax and buffed to a lovely sheen. The buyer is sure to be the "cats meow" when wearing this piece of art.
