Linda Alger holds a true passion for the arts and has served the artistic community in a variety of ways. Many recognize Alger from her years as a special contributor to "The Sun Chronicle" newspaper when she wrote over fifty featured columns in "The Artist's Eye" which introduced readers to many different craft and artistic mediums. Working from photographs and her imagination, Linda's artwork embodies her joyful heart and drive to give back to the community.
"The Quiet Mile" was inspired by one of Alger's brother's black and white photographs. The painting reflects a moment suspended in time of an early morning when the world is just beginning to wake up. The mile is empty but welcomes the viewer.
