Florence E. Wharon was a sophomore at Mass College of Art and Design in 1937.


This work, "Historic Ornament or China," was created in January 1937 and was a Sophomore II Design assignment at Mass College of Art and Design. The painted detail exemplars of classic Chinese ornamental designs.

Special Instructions

A note on bidding: Any high bid that does not follow the listed bidding increments will be nullified and voided.


 The Bidding Increments are as follows:


    $1-99, the bidding increment is $5 


   $100-199, the bidding increment is $10


   $200-499, the bidding increment is $20 


   $500-999, the bidding increment is $50 


   $1000 and up, the bidding increment is $100


Items can be picked up at the Attleboro Arts Museum from November 6th – 8th, 2025. The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm. In-person pickup is preferred. If an item is to be shipped, the winning bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements and handling costs. After arrangements have been made, items will be shipped no later than November 14th. Winners of specialty items that do not require pickup will be contacted with details by November 7th. The artist retains all reproduction and copyrights.
