Virginia Fitzgerald is a multidisciplinary artist whose work challenges viewers to think, to question, and to imagine new possibilities for themselves and their communities. Her practice celebrates the everyday, transforming ordinary objects and moments into the extraordinary. Whether wielding a paintbrush or using needle and thread, Fitzgerald brings attention to the overlooked and elevates it to the sacred, inviting others to observe, reconsider, and rediscover the world around them.

"Dahlia" is part of Virginia Fitzgerald's series "From the Land of Dragons." The land of dragons is a kingdom of magic and mystery, of hope and rebirth, of beauty and wonder, decay and reawakening. It is a sanctuary where one can wander unrecognizable landscapes where the overlooked is observed, contemplated and celebrated; where all are invited to travel, to peruse, to rest, to exhale and to heal their hearts and to replenish their souls.
