Starting Over Airedale Rescue (SOAR) is getting ready to run another online auction fundraiser.

Starting on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 8:00 am EDT through Sunday, July 27 at 10:00 pm EDT, Starting Over Airedale Rescue (SOAR) will be holding a "Christmas in July" auction to benefit the Diana Muldaur Fund for unexpected veterinary expenses.

As many of you know, we spent $16,000 from the Diana Muldaur Fund in May to pay for Lady and Teddy's surgeries. I am happy to report that Lady went to her forever home with one of our auction participants. Teddy has also been adopted.

Take a moment to review the items listed as the auction date approaches on the View All Items tab above. Feel free to place a watch on your favorites, so that you'll know as soon as bidding begins!

Please contact me directly at angiesoarvolunteer@gmail.com if you have any questions.

If you are not able to participate in this auction, but would still like to make a difference by donating to the Diana Muldaur Fund, you can do so by going to the "DONATE" page on our website at:

https://soar-airedale-rescue.com/donate/

Choose the "Diana Muldaur Fund" donate button.

If you would prefer to send a check, make it payable to SOAR and mail to:

We appreciate all of you who have participated in our auctions to support the work of SOAR on behalf of Airedale Rescue. Thank you---and tail wags for your generosity.

For the love of Airedales,
Angie Scott, SOAR Auction Volunteer

Ps. For you Trekkies out there, you will remember Diana Muldaur as Dr. Pulaski in Star Trek: The Next Generation. What you may not know is that Diana is also an Airedale breeder and has actively participated in Airedale rescue for many years. When SOAR asked if she would lend her name to a fund for SOAR and for rescue, she was more than happy to do so. The Diana Muldaur Fund was born.

We Need Volunteers!

SOAR is an all-volunteer organization who could not accomplish what we do without the help of some amazing volunteers! We are always looking for people with a soft spot for Airedales who would like to be a part of our team. If you have some extra time, please join us in our mission to place adoptable Airedales in loving new homes.

SOAR does not have a facility; instead, our volunteers work out of our homes and communicate by phone, email, and our website. Our volunteer positions fall into two broad categories: Hands On and Support, both of which are defined on our webpage. Take a look and see if there is something you can do to help.

Go to our Volunteer with SOAR page at:

https://soar-airedale-rescue.com/volunteer/page/2/

Our volunteers are a precious resource to SOAR! We value each and every contribution they make from transporting to fostering, from publicity to fundraising, or just simply spreading the word.
