Description

Here is a very pretty, small, ladies or gentleman’s pocket knife, small enought to be easily carried in suit pocket or purse. 

The bone on this knife was running around West of  Moosehead Lake in Maine up to October 2006. This is a clip point single bladed pocket knife.

Blade: traditional 1095 high carbon steel, 3/32 inch thick, with French pull nail slot, serial number 065. Solid brass barlow style bolsters, pins, and liners with "Oil" reminder stamp on off mark side front bolster. Natural moose bone handles (what was one of Thoreau's last two words?). Overall length open, 5¼ inches; OAL closed, 3 1/8 inches; blade length to choile 1 3/4 inches.

No factory edge, hence caution, hand honed and razor sharp. Guaranteed for materials and workmanship. All parts hand made by, and all heat treatment of spring and blade done at the shop of Dr. Wm. L. Reid of New Sharon, Maine. Dr. Reid is a life member of the Thoreau Society since 1964, and a hand maker of knives since 1952.
