Description

The winner of this auction (and a companion) will enjoy a fine repast with two New England mystery authors, William G. Tapply and Vicki Stiefel. William G. Tapply is the author of about 40 books, including more than two dozen New England-based mystery novels. His newest Brady Coyne mystery, "Out Cold," was released in September 2006. Tapply has also written nearly a thousand magazine articles, mostly about fly fishing and the outdoors. He is a professor of English at Clark University in Worcester, Mass. where he is the Writer in Residence. His wife, novelist Vicki Stiefel, has published three mysteries featuring Tally Whyte, an intrepid heroine who works for the Massachusetts Officer of the Chief Medical Examiner. Her newest episode, "The Grief Shop," was released in August 2006. Vicki has extensive theater experience and a wide variety of eclectic interests, and she does not lack for topics of conversation. Together Bill and Vicki run The Writers Studio at Chickadee Farm, located in Hancock, New Hampshire. You can learn more about them by visiting their web sites: http://www.williamgtappy.com; http://www.vickistiefel.com; and http://www.writersstudio.net/. The dinner venue will be chosen from among some of Bill and Vicki's favorite haunts in the Monadnock area of Hancock, Jaffrey, and Petersborough, New Hampshire. The date and time will depend upon the schedules of both the winner and the authors. The winner and a companion need only show up at the restaurant; all dinner expenses will be covered. If you love mysteries or are a budding novelist yourself, this is a rare opportunity you cannot pass up.

Special Instructions

The winner of this auction will be contacted by the donor to arrange for a suitable date, time and venue for the dinner. It will take place at a restaurant in the greater Monadnock region of New Hampshire.
