Sidestepping the irreverence of standard "ghost walks," Spirits, Legends, and Lore is presented with a dutiful regard for both the stories' origins and the listeners' interests.

The tales used were culled from many collected over the course of two years of research. To be selected, a story had to have sound sources of support and, when necessary for validation, multiple sources of corroboration. Those that made the final cut went under further scrutiny by experts in the field of paranormal studies before they were written into the narrative. The remaining stories were assembled with historically accurate accounts of old graveyards and burial practices, menacing superstitions, and a couple of grim, unusual murders. Spirits, Legends, and Lore reveals that there is indeed more to Concord's past than minutemen and poets.

For eight seasons it has been provoking speculators and satisfying the curious. Many over the years have returned to renew the wonder.
