The LA/SPCA works hard to encourage and facilitate the neutering of male and female cats and dogs; this act of kindness limits the numbers of unwanted and uncared for animals who would otherwise be roaming our streets. Now, a prominent urologist, Dr. Neil Baum, has donated to the LA/SPCA a "no scalpel" vasectomy for those who have determined that they have all the human progeny they desire. According to Dr. Baum, this is a no-incision office procedure, done under local anesthetic, with minimal or no pain, and with return to all activities in three days. Compared to the standard vasectomy, Dr. Baum says, this is the "kindest cut." As lagniappe, Dr. Baum promises to write a prescription to your spouse or significant other ordering lots of TLC for weeks, or months, or however long you deem necessary.
