Artist Kini Collins created this painting as part of a series of landscapes after extensive travel through the American Southwest.
Her technique involves a unique mix of joint compound, acrylic paint and charcoal that after repeated carving, sanding and redrawing results in a beautifully textured surface. You'll be able display the beauty of the desert in your home or office with this gorgeous piece that measures 13" x 12."

Special Instructions

Kini Collins is a member of the Artists Housing Inc.(AHI) cooperative and its affiliated 1448 Gallery. AHI was created by HUD and the city of Baltimore, MD, in 1986 to provide affordable work/living space for artists. Kini writes "we will celebrate our 20th anniversary in February 2007 by paying off our mortgage. We plan to continue as an artists live/work co-op and look forward to another 20 years of vitality and creativity."
