Description

Artist Rosemary Cooley of the Washington Printmakers Gallery has created a colorful etching that marries words - the poetry of Robert Browning - with the image of a rose. The etching is hand colored on a 10" x 8" Rives BFK paper. The finished mat size is 20" x 16."

Ms. Cooley, while born and educated in the United States, has also lived in Africa, Asia and South America. The resulting "world view" of cultures together with printmaking studies in Italy created in her a new awareness of light, color and content.
