Description

An original work of art, hand-painted in the famed rosemaling technique by artisan Lynn Froseth, a member of the Northwoods Pioneer Gallery & Gifts in Two Harbors, MN. Lynn studied rosemaling technique and design at the world-reknowned Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum in Decorah, Iowa.

Rosemaling developed as a folk art in Norway during the 1700's. The distinctive style represents different regions in Norway. This beautiful footed wooden bowl is painted in the Telemark style. Also painted on the inside, the bowl measures 11" across, 2 1/4" deep and 5" in height. More of her work is available at Northwoods Pioneer Gallery & Gifts.
