Firebird Shawl

Item Number: 176
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
This one-of-a kind shawl is triangular shaped, and measures 74" wide from side to side and 29" long from top to bottom of middle, excluding fringe. It has just about every color in the rainbow in vertical stripes of varying width. The fringe is also multi-colored, with white puffs a bit bigger than apple seeds featured throughout. It is completely handmade of the finest yarns - from bamboo to cashmere. Some are handspun and dyed, making this piece completely individual. Artist Christy Fisher, jeweler and art-to-wear designer, spent much of her life in the fashion industry as a seamstress for the stars. Her clients included many well-known 60's and 70's era rock and roll bands such as Derek and the Dominos (Eric Clapton), Wings and Frank Zappa. Now she lives in Arizona and sells her designs as a member of the Jerome Artists Gallery Cooperative.
