The American Youth Symphony will hold its First Annual Dinner/Ballroom Dance/Auction on November 6, 2005 at The Four Seasons Hotel at Beverly Hills. Be serenaded by our AYS Ensembles during our cocktail hour and dance the night away to the sounds of big band music. For reservations, call 310-234-8355.
Who We Are
The American Youth Symphony, one of the premier performing arts youth organizations in the country, provides training to young musicians for professional careers in music. It also serves the community by making classical music available to everyone through our free concert series at Royce Hall.
AYS became one of the few training orchestras ever to be invited by Carnegie Hall. We performed on April 2, 2005 to audience and critical acclaim. The New York Times raved:"Young People Strut Their Stuff...the orchestra gave a superb performance...all the energy and precision a listener would expect of a fully professional ensemble." According to the LA Times "the AYS wows an audience with not-to-be-missed performances"
In addition, we offer a Music Outreach Program to 100 underserved elementary school children by providing violins and instruction.
