Our theme this year is "Milton School Libraries....Check It Out!" and our goal is to bring the Milton Public School libraries into the 21st century. A library is no longer just a place to check out books -- it is the hub of the school and the key to opening students' minds to reading, writing and critical thinking. Milton's new state of the art school buildings provide wonderful library space but need the tools to allow faculty and students to utilize each library to its fullest potential. Proceeds from Celebration 2005 will fund the purchase of technology to automate the libraries, including formation of a sharing network among all the schools. We also plan to purchase updated print and media resources and equipment as well as support the ongoing work of the Foundation. This cannot be done without the proper resources, and for this we need your help!
