"Retired Rake" painted by renowned watercolorist Phyllis H. Reif was painted on location on a farm in Pennsylvania. For the past forty years, Mrs. Reif has taught an oil and watercolor workshop in Glenside, PA ,and has also conducted an oil painting class for the Oreland Art Center in Dresher, Pennsylvania.

For the past decade, Mrs. Reif arranged 10 monthly shows a year featuring professional artists for the gallery at Westminster Theological Seminary in Wyndmoor, PA. She is a member of the Philadelphia Water Color Club, the Doylestown Art League, the Woodmere Gallery of Art in Chestnut Hill, and the Oreland Art Center.
