The Storybook Gala Auction is now open for bidding! The online auction will run from August 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006, with the live event taking place on September 30, 2006 at the Children's Museum of Winston-Salem. Every year for the past four years the Museum has held a Storybook Gala, sponsored by the Junior League of Winston-Salem and open to the community, which provides funding for the museum's outreach projects and programs. The Museum first opened its doors in November 2004 and since then has seen almost 150,000 visitors, all experiencing for themselves the Museum's mission: to create a compelling destination for our community to play and learn by experiencing literature, storytelling and the arts. This year -- in honor of our fifth Gala -- the Museum has added an online auction, allowing us to offer some amazing items for bidding. These items include exotic getaways, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and various collectibles. So tell your friends, family, community. Get everyone in on the auction action!
