Benefit Honoring Desmond Tutu
Nobel Prize winner, Archbishop Desmond Tutu will be the Honored Guest for SHARED's gala fundraiser at the Sheraton Boston Grand Ballroom on Tuesday, September 25. With his advocacy in the fight against AIDS, the Archbishop is lending his support to SHARED and its mission to increase access to medicines for the world's poorest people especially the AIDS orphans of southern Africa.
The evening's festivities include a VIP reception followed by dinner and remarks by the Archbishop. Dignitaries including Boston's Mayor Thomas Menino and a host of business and political leaders make this one of the "Charity Events" of the year to be featured in the "Best of Boston" edition of Boston magazine. A silent auction at the event will cap this online auction, launching SHARED as an up and coming not-for-profit in the global health arena and raising funds for the AIDS orphans served by SHARED.
