Description
An Evening of Wine Tasting – Major French Regional Varietals.
Americans have inherited a love for great wines from European traditions that date back to Roman times. California's Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot borrow heavily from France's Bordeaux region and our country's finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay producers strive to emulate the great Burgundies of the past and present. Co-op parents Michael and Lynda Mooney invite you to their Lincoln Park home on Saturday, May 10 at 7 p.m. for an exciting evening of wine tasting and conversation. The evening's speaker, David Donovan, has written and lectured extensively on wine and vinicultural history over the last fifteen years. Tasting through a careful selection of outstanding red and white wines, you have a chance to examine the major grapes within France's most prominent appellations and learn what to look for on restaurant lists. Hors d’oeuvres and enjoyable conversation are included.
Available to 18 co-op parents at $75 a person.
