Newton Community Service Center (NCSC)
Night of a Thousand Stars
The Night of a Thousand Stars 4th Annual Gala will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009, at the Westin Waltham ballroom at 6pm. It will be a night to remember!
Honorary co-chairs Matt (KISS 108’s Matty in the Morning) and Maryann Siegel will present three segments of dancing featuring a waltz or a swing with our honored Community Stars and a professional ballroom dancer. Each dance will pay tribute to a special program of NCSC - Child and Family Services, Teens and Seniors, and Child Assault Prevention.
This year's Community Stars are honored for their personal contributions to the health and safety of our community. They are: Mayor David B. Cohen of Newton; Rev. Walter H. Cuenin, Chaplain, Brandeis University and former pastor of Our Lady Help of Christian's Parish of Newton; and, Ruth L. Barnett, President of Newton Pride Committee and Vice President of Cambridge Savings Bank.
Throughout the evening, the Siegels will host live and silent auctions along with State Representative Peter Koutoujian. We'll swing to the bigger than life sounds of the Roy Scott Big Band, and enjoy the fine dining at the Westin.
The Westin Waltham is located at 70 Third Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451. They can be reached at (781) 290-5600 for directions or overnight accommodations at a discounted rate.
