Governor and Mrs. Carcieri announced "Leave Your Troubles Behind", a watercolor painting by Donna Kenny Kirwan, as the winner of the "Best of Show" Award in this year's "Scenes of Rhode Island" art competition.
300 works of art were submitted with 38 chosen to be exhibited. The value of the framed, high-quality, limited edition print is $1,000 and will measure approximately 42" x 32". This reproduction will be signed by both the Governor and the artist.
Special Instructions
The representation on this website is a picture of the print. The actual print will not be ready for the event to be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009.
The Governor's office will contact spurwink|ri when the print is ready for pick-up. The winning bidder will be contacted and may either pick up the piece at spurwink|ri or arrange for delivery.
All shipping and handling is the responsibility of the winning bidder.
