From the Phantom Gourmet:

What do you get when you take a hard-core Canadian and transplant him to Massachusetts?

Montreal French Fries in West Bridgewater.

Owner Eugene Deziel hangs American flags outside his flamboyant eatery. But inside, Canadian flags and hockey memorabilia rule.

"I'm Canadian-- look at this-- you only gotta be Canadian to be wearing something like that!"

People line up for his take on fast food.

"For us its comfort, it’s all about comfort"
"My mother used to say, when the comfort food is in front of you, you create happiness and you create fulfillment"

The most comforting thing on the menu has got to be the French fries, made exclusively with Canadian potatoes.

"This potato is going to be really famous one day."
"Our French fries are fresh, hand cut on site, double baked..."

Guests choose regular fries or sweet potato fries, or they get Poutine. It's a Quebec fast food favorite: French fries served with curd cheddar cheese and gravy.

"Kind of like the Big Mac of the Canadians..."
"So wild and so tasty, so different..."

Hot dogs come steamed or grilled on buns that are pressed panini-style till golden brown. Get two with some fries and a drink by ordering the "Penalty Box."

Or, grab a burger that's served on surprisingly thin, crispy bread.

"The bread itself..... is called the Cavanaugh bread. It’s kind of like sweet bread. It’s not the regular hamburger bun. "

Regulars go for the Juno Burger, an oversized patty hit with Montreal spice, stacked on grilled ciabatta bread with mozzarella, cheddar cheese, and provolone.

Hot dogs, hamburgers, and French fries, all served with Canadian flair.
With food THIS good, you just gotta Eat Here!
