Host the ultimate in Washington dinner parties – a journalists’ roundtable in your home with some of the biggest names in political journalism, catered by Washington’s biggest name in food, Susan Gage. We’ve invited legendary journalists Michael Duffy of TIME magazine, Bob Schieffer of CBS News, David Ignatius of The Washington Post, Maureen Orth of Vanity Fair, and Bill Plante of CBS News for dinner on Thursday, October 22, 2009. You can invite up to 14 of your friends to join you on that evening in your home for an intellectual discussion and engaging talk about the ever-changing events of the day. The evening will begin with a panel discussion of important current events with opportunities for questions and back and forth discussion with the special guests. After the panel, your guests will mingle and dine with the panelists while enjoying a lovely dinner prepared by one of Washington’s most sought-after caterers, Susan Gage. It will be an unforgettable evening for you and your friends! o Michael Duffy is Assistant Managing Editor of TIME magazine, and has been at the center of the magazine’s coverage of politics and Presidents for over 10 years. He has written, or co-written, more than 40 TIME cover stories and is co-author of two books, most recently, The Preacher And The Presidents: Billy Graham in the White House. He has twice received a Gerald R. Ford Prize for Distinguished Reporting. o David Ignatius is an Associate Editor and twice-weekly columnist for The Washington Post writing on global politics, economics, and international affairs. His columns have won multiple awards, including most recently a 2005 Edward Weintal Special Citation. He is also a graduate of St. Albans and the author of six novels. o Maureen Orth has been a special correspondent for Vanity Fair since 1993 and has interviewed numerous heads of state including Russian President Vladimir Putin and British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. She is the author of two bestselling books and winner of a National Magazine Award for her work. o Bill Plante has been with CBS News for over three decades. He was White House Correspondent during the Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush Administrations. Currently, he is the Senior White House Correspondent on The Early Show and appears regularly on The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. He has received several major broadcast journalism awards including multiple Emmy Awards for his reporting. o Bob Schieffer is one of broadcast journalism’s most experienced Washington reporters. Currently, the Chief Washington Correspondent for CBS News and the anchor and moderator of Face the Nation, he recently finished his stint as interim anchor for The CBS Evening News. Mr. Schieffer is the winner of numerous broadcasting awards, including seven Emmys, and is a member of the Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
