Description
In 1982 Sir Peter Michael established the Peter Michael winery on a square mile of rocky volcanic ridges that form the western face of Mount St. Helena in Sonoma County. The wine growing philosophy has been that the vineyard terroir would be the single most important feature, the wines would be elegant rather than overstated, and there would be a hundred-year commitment to the development of a great estate. The "Mon Plasir" is the flagship wine of Peter Michael, and no Peter Michael wine has ever received less than 90 points from Robert Parker. This one received 92 from Parker and 90 from Wine Spectator. This is a hard to come by wine with very low production, mailing list allocation, a unique unfiltered bottling, and a rich and distinct presentation.
