College Mentors
Inspire 2009
Join us starting on January 16, 2009 for the online portion of College Mentor's Inspire 2009 silent auction. We will be auctioning off a variety of unique items donated by our wonderful supporters from within and outside Indiana. The proceeds of this auction will support College Mentors' strategic objectives including perfecting program quality, pursuing geographic expansion, and coordinating a continuum, of service to guide our children from elementary school through college admission.
The mission of College Mentors is to motivate youth and communities to achieve their potential by fostering inspiration to transform lives, education to change attitudes, and connections to increase opportunities. College Mentors is a unique mentoring program that encourages children to succeed academically by utilizing the talents of college students and the resources of the university. By pairing first- through fourth-grade underprivileged youth with a college student mentor, College Mentors fosters a vision of the future in which higher education is an attainable goal for all of the children we serve. This year also marks the beginning of our new program, College Connection. This program pairs fifth through eighth grade students with college student mentors and focuses on personal, academic, and career development. We are extremely excited about our ability to expand our mentoring program to a wider age range of at-risk students.
Want to help College Mentors' cause by doing more than just bidding? No problem.
