Item Number: 133
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Spend an evening with seven of your closest friends learning to cook pastry from the comfort of your own home! The lesson is taught by Chef Jean Paison, an experienced chef and co-founder of the Second Helpings organization.
Second Helpings was created to help solve four problems: food waste, hunger, job training, and a lack of skilled labor for the local food industry. In its first month of existence, Second Helpings rescued over 7,000 pounds of food which would have been wasted and turned it into 3,074 meals. Today, Second Helpings turns out 50,000 meals a month, which are then sent to over forty non-profits agencies.
