Larry Bird, born in West Baden, Indiana, was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 1978. He was a three time NBA champion, three time NBA MVP and voted to the NBA Hall of Fame. Although he is retired, Bird remains involved in the NBA-serving as the President of Basketball Operations for the Indiana Pacers.
