About Windsor Mountain:
Windsor Mountain International Summer Camp in New Hampshire celebrates the creative spirit and our global community. Join our family which, since 1961, has included people from 50 states and over 60 different countries.
A fun summer at Windsor Mountain complements the learning that happens in school. We focus on teaching respect, responsibility and appropriate risk taking while learning through discovery.
Summer Camp Philosophy
A summer at Windsor Mountain is more than just a ton of fun. It is a unique opportunity to nurture the creative spirit and explore how to live as a responsible citizen of the world while sharing a summer camp experience with students representing diversity of race, religion, color, and rung of the economic ladder.
For almost fifty years we have been designing practical and effective programs that open students eyes to new cultures, people, ideas and realities. Our diverse community brings cultures together and enhances our global perspective. Since our beginning in 1961, 50 states and over 60 countries have been represented. Each session Windsor Mountain International hosts 160 campers and 50 professional staff at our New Hampshire campus. We are committed to experiential learning and to the personal growth and development of each individual, and we are focused on teaching—and practicing—respect, leadership, and appropriate risk-taking.
Rigorously trained, mentored, and motivated counselors from every corner of the globe guide students and campers to select their own schedule of classes through a process of “directed free choice.” Within the safe and supportive Windsor Mountain community students challenge themselves physically, emotionally, and intellectually while living in a traditional and rustic New England summer camp, which includes a range of activities including sports, theatre, arts, ropes course, music, swimming, boating, wilderness adventure, environmental education, and community service.
Creative, curious, energetic, caring, thoughtful, motivated and team oriented campers and staff join us at Windsor Mountain. We invite YOU to join our fun and our Windsor Mountain family!

FOOD: We take food seriously at Windsor Mountain. Jackie, our Jamaican chef who has run our dining hall for the past seven summers, prepares meals that rely on locally grown ingredients as often as possible. We bake our own bread and supply fresh fruit and snacks as well as salad and vegetarian options for every meal. The salad bar offers a variety of vegetables and fruits, some of which the campers themselves have harvested. We also work closely with campers to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies.
HOUSING: Girls finishing grades 2-6 live in the TREEHOUSE, a two story dormitory-style building. Each dorm bunks six to eight girls with counselors living in attached rooms. A few steps away, the bathroom contains toilets, sinks and hot showers. On the other side, an expansive deck connects to a cozy library where campers can spend rainy days or simply quiet hours.
Boys finishing grades 2-6 live in CABINS that bunk seven to ten boys. Each cabin has running water, toilets and sinks. Hot showers are just behind the cabins, and a fire pit in the cabin meadow makes a wonderful gathering spot.
In the nearby white pine grove, the TENT UNIT houses 80 older boys and girls finishing grades 7-8, campers in our Leaders in Training program, and their counselors. Students live in Adirondack-like shelters called “Shirondos” and in canvas tents on raised platforms. All are rustic and have lights and electricity. A nearby wash center provides sinks and toilets and hot showers are nearby as well. A tent pavilion with a fieldstone fireplace offers a group gathering place.
