Winning bidder will receive a certificate for one month of Beginner's Karate lessons for up to 4 people (preferably a family). Beginner's classes are taught on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:10 pm. New sessions begin on the first Tuesday of every month.

For more than 20 years, JKA Boston has promoted traditional Shotokan Karate. We are affiliated with the JKA World Federation and Shotokan Karate-Do International (see below).

Rank Tests
Rank tests are given regularly. White, green, and brown belt tests occur every three months. Black belt tests occur every six months. All black belt ranks are recognized internationally and are registered at JKA headquarters in Japan.
Training Schedule
JKA Boston conducts formal trainings daily. For times, see the Class Schedule page. We strongly recommend that members train at least three times a week.
Beginners
Beginning students attend a separate beginner's class twice a week for one month before joining regular classes. Beginner classes start the first Tuesday of each month.
