Thank you to everyone who participated!  PROCEEDS FROM THIS AUCTION WILL HELP OUR AMBULANCES  RETURN TO THE ROAD...  due to increasing costs and the declining donations during this difficult economy, we have had to suspend our 24/7 ambulance service across the state.  We have always traveled day and night to pick up animals, but we temporarily have had to set up drop-off points and ask the public to transport the animals to the drop-off points where we can pick them up.  We regret this decision - but with your support, we hope to return to offering our ambulance service across the state as soon as possible.

Broadbent Wildlife Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Kentucky whose mission is to rescue sick, injured and orphaned wildlife throughout the state.  Our staff works 365 days a year to provide care to wildlife in need, with the goal of rehabilitation and release back into their native environment.  Our full time staff, including a veterinarian and state and federally-licensed wildlife rehabilitators, provide medical treatment as well as loving supportive care to our animal patients.  Hundreds of wildlife babies are raised in our nursery and released each year.  Broadbent also serves as a safe haven and a lifelong home for abandoned or abused exotic birds and other former pets, including monkeys, emus, donkeys, tortoises and many more.  One of our main priorities is educating children and adults to co-exist with wildlife and to respect all animals.  Plans for an on-site educational center are underway.
