The Wender Weis Foundation for Children, which created and produces Holiday Heroes, has been in existence since 1994. We are committed to assisting at-risk children in growing their self-esteem through the gift of giving encouragement.
We are thrilled to be donating funds raised through Holiday Heroes to the Junior Giants Baseball Program. Other beneficiaries include the 49ers Academy, Always Dream Foundation, Holy Family Day Home, Raphael House, Ronald McDonald House of San Francisco, and the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center.

Holy Family Day Home · Is a 110 year old early childhood education program serving homeless and low-income children and their families, with the goal to end the cycle of poverty for families and provide both physical and emotional sustenance and nurturing.
Raphael House · Is the first homeless shelter for families in Northern California and provides a residential shelter program, and an after-care program, providing a full service family support center where families can thrive.
Ronald McDonald House of San Francisco · provides a safe haven for critically ill children and their families.
SF Child Abuse Prevention Center · Dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect, the promotion of healthy families and the mental health of children.
Thank you for viewing our auction, and we hope that you will bid high, bid often, but most of all, have fun, all the while knowing you are making a difference in the life of a disadvantaged child.
Become an Absentee Bidder.
Because Holiday Heroes is a family event full of activities, we highly suggest your considering placing an absentee bid for the items that you are interested in, so you don't have to watch the silent auction table the whole evening. Enjoy the event with your kids and not the with the volunteers running our silent auction.
Also for our friends that are unable to attend this year's event, absentee bidding will allow you the chance to participate in our evening.
By placing an Absentee Bid, you authorize Holiday Heroes to bid on your behalf after the close of this online auction. Holiday Heroes will purchase the item at the lowest possible price up to your maximum bid. This service is available without charge.
Absentee bidding allows online bidders the opportunity to bid on items and support a great cause, even though they may not be able to attend the Live Event.
Absentee bidders will receive their items mailed with insurance and a nominal handling charge will be assigned based on the number and types of items won. Please email info@wenderweis.org with any questions.
There are several ways that you can assist us in fulfilling our mission of raising funds and awareness for underprivileged children in the San Francisco Bay Area.
