Description

This is a completely unique piece of art with four paw prints from the Birmingham Zoo's cheetah, Dolly, presented alongside a photograph of her lounging in the grass.  The photograph is 11"x14" and is matted to 18" x 24" size with a black mat in a simple black frame.

Dolly, the cheetah featured in this artwork, is currently retired at the Birmingham Zoo in an off-exhibit area.  The footprints were created by  tempera paint on her feet while Dolly was being moved to her retirement area under sedation.  Cheetahs are the world's fastest land animal but are also an endangered species.  To find out more about cheetahs, please see the Cheetah Conservation Fund's website:  http://www.cheetah.org/

Photograph by Lydia Cost.  Footprints by Dolly the Cheetah with special thanks to her keepers for their assistance.
