The winning bidder will enjoy 2 hours of private lessons with Alliance teacher Stephanie Van Hook. Stephanie has bachelors degrees in French and Philosophy and is currently pursuing her MA in Conflict Resoution and Peace Theory. Her interests are mainly 19th and 20th century French poetry and philosophy as well as post-colonial theory and identity politics in French speaking parts of Africa. She has lived and taught for two years in Benin in French-speaking West Africa for Le Corps de la paix. She earlier developed an ESL program for the Alliance Française de San Francisco and has worked for the Alliance Française de Portland since 2007; she teaches French as well as ESL. Lessons are to be arranged for a mutually agreeable date, at the Alliance's Kamm House location; use by March 2010.
